Job summary

Kinnerton Confectionery is seeking a Shift Manager for the night shift at our Fakenham site. You will lead a multi-skilled production team on a 4 on 4 off pattern, driving safety, quality, and efficiency to meet production plans.

Based on the Nut area, you will coach staff, implement continuous improvement, and ensure food safety compliance while maintaining strong handovers and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience managing large teams in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong process knowledge in manufacturing equipment and food safety standards.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills, with the ability to write clear handovers, professional emails, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Desirable: Food Safety, HACCP and CI/Lean qualifications.

• Manage your shift team (Production Operatives, Machine Operatives, Mixers and Team Leaders, as well as seasonal agency staff) to deliver production plans safely and efficiently.
• Drive performance on the lines, ensuring KPIs for quality, safety, and productivity are met.
• Promote a ‘Safety First’ culture and maintain compliance with food safety standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for your department.
• Develop and coach your team, ensuring skills and training plans are in place.

Shift Manager (4 on 4 off Nights)

Kinnerton Confectionery - Fakenham (NR21 8AF, North Norfolk)

As a Shift Manager at Kinnerton, you will lead all operational activity for your assigned shift. Responsible for delivering our chocolate production plan safely, efficiently, and on time, you will manage a team of production staff, driving performance across multiple lines, ensuring all KPI's for safety, quality, cost, and output are consistently achieved. As a people-focused leader, you will champion safety and food compliance, drive continuous improvement, and coach your team to build skills and capability.

Position Type: Full-time, PermanentHours: 4 on 4 off Nights - 18:00 - 06:00 across a 24/7 operationSalary:£40,800.00 -£45,009.54

This role is based on the night shift within our Nut Area.
