Job summary

Greggs plc in the United Kingdom is seeking a Shift Manager to lead the shop when the Manager isn’t available and to motivate the team. You will ensure quick, friendly service across in-store, delivery, click & collect and drive-thru channels, while maintaining high standards and a clean, well-stocked shop.

You will be responsible for preparing products, overseeing ovens, and upholding excellent customer interactions.

Qualifications

• Must have previous supervisory experience in a customer-focused environment.
• Strong leadership and people skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication.

Job description

Join us as a Shift Manager and you'll be part of a team that loves putting customers first. As part of the management team, you'll be responsible for looking after the shop when the Manager isn't around. You will engage and motivate the team, and make sure they have what they need to do an amazing job. We serve our customers across a number of different channels; in-shop, delivery, Click + Collect and drive thru. You'll lead the way in making sure customers have a brilliant experience when shopping with us - whether they order in store or order their food online. While no two shifts will be the same, during a typical shift you can expect to:

• Inspire the team to deliver amazing results and maintain the excellent standards of the shop
• Lead by example and serve our customers in a fast and friendly manner
• Prepare our much-loved products, including making sandwiches and managing the ovens
• Ensure our displays are fully stocked at all times, with plenty of choice available for our customers
• Keep the shop looking clean, tidy and presentable

You'll be reliable and demonstrate natural leadership abilities, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
