Job summary

E3 Recruitment is seeking a Shift Manager for a world-class chemical manufacturer in Bradford, West Yorkshire. You will lead production teams on a COMAH site, ensuring SHE compliance and coordinating safety, quality and throughput on a 4-on/4-off rota.

The ideal candidate will have HND/ ONC or equivalent in a chemical plant, NVQ III in Management (desirable), and COMAH experience with a proven track record in shift leadership.

Qualifications

• Technical qualification – HND/ ONC or equivalent in a Chemical Plant (Required).
• NVQ III in Management or equivalent, ideally an A1 assessor (Desirable).
• Experience working on a COMAH Site.

Responsibilities

• Sustain high level of SHE awareness to ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental regulations.
• Prepare the plant prior to planned Engineering work.
• Participate in safety audits, HAZOPs, and risk assessments.
• Liaise with maintenance dept to organise and prioritise plant repairs and maintenance.
• Report all process safety incidents or hazards and assist investigations.
• Coordinate with supply chain to ensure raw materials are available for production.
• Work with Operations Leader and ensure SOPs are followed.

Shift Manager role available now! We are looking for a Shift Manager to join one of the world’s largest chemical manufacturers!

I am keen to speak with anyone that has previous experience as a Shift Manager, Production Supervisor, FLM, Team Leader, Production Leader or Line Leader. Further to this the ideal candidate will have experience working on a COMAH manufacturing site with involvement in conducting chemical reactions.

Salary: £56,980.27 + Allowances

Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire

Contract Type: Permanent

Shift Rota:

4 on / 4 off rotation consisting of 2 day shifts followed by 2 night shifts. After 7 consecutive cycles, employees receive an 18-day break

Qualifications required for the Shift Manager:

• Prepare the plant prior to planned Engineering work.
• Participate in safety audits, HAZOPS’s, and risk assessments.
• Liaise with maintenance dept.to organise and prioritise plant repairs and planned maintenance and ensure that they are carried out effectively.
• Reporting all process safety incidents or hazards and contributing to incident investigations.
• Liaise with supply chain to ensure sufficient raw materials are available to maintain production.
• Work in conjunction with the Operations Leader.
• Ensure that all operations are carried out according to standard operating procedures.
• Implement Company policies and disciplinary procedures and general terms and conditions of employment.
