Job summary

Greggs plc in Ashington is seeking a Shift Manager to lead and motivate the shop team, ensuring excellent customer service and smooth daily operations. You will oversee shifts when the Manager isn’t present, manage ovens and food preparation, and keep displays stocked and shop clean.

Ideal candidates have prior supervisory experience in a customer-focused setting and value inclusivity. The role offers a weekly pay cycle and opportunities to advance within Greggs.

Job description

Join us as a Shift Manager and you’ll be part of a team that loves putting customers first. As part of the management team, you’ll be responsible for looking after the shop when the Manager isn’t around. You will engage and motivate the team, and make sure they have what they need to do an amazing job. We serve our customers across a number of different channels; in-shop, delivery, Click + Collect and drive thru. You'll lead the way in making sure customers have a brilliant experience when shopping with us - whether they order in store or order their food online. While no two shifts will be the same, during a typical shift you can expect to:
