Job summary

Greggs plc is seeking a Shift Manager to lead the shop when the Manager is away, engaging and motivating the team to deliver exceptional customer service. You will oversee in-store operations and ensure the team has what they need to do an amazing job, across in-shop, delivery, Click+Collect and drive‑thru channels.

You will inspire and coach staff, manage product preparation, and keep displays stocked and the shop tidy.

Qualifications

• Reliable with natural leadership abilities and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
• Supportive of an inclusive culture – recognising and valuing that difference is good.
• Previous team supervisory experience in a similar, customer‑focused environment.
• You meet the availability requirements for the role.

Responsibilities

• Inspire the team to deliver amazing results and maintain the excellent standards of the shop.
• Lead by example and serve our customers in a fast and friendly manner.
• Prepare our much‑loved products, including making sandwiches and managing the ovens.
• Ensure our displays are fully stocked at all times, with plenty of choice available for our customers.
• Keep the shop looking clean, tidy and presentable.

Job description

Join us as a Shift Manager and you’ll be part of a team that loves putting customers first. As part of the management team, you’ll be responsible for looking after the shop when the Manager is not around. You will engage and motivate the team, and ensure they have what they need to do an amazing job.

We serve our customers across a number of different channels: in‑shop, delivery, Click+Collect and drive‑thru. You'll lead the way in making sure customers have a brilliant experience when shopping with us – whether they order in store or online.

During a typical shift you can expect to
