Job summary

The Kraft Heinz Company at Northgate is seeking experienced Shift Maintenance Fitters to keep our processing and packaging assets running safely, reliably, and efficiently. This hands-on, autonomous role focuses on breakdown response, preventative/predictive maintenance, and strong CMMS discipline, with a 4 on/4 off rotating roster and 12-hour shifts.

You will diagnose faults, perform preventative tasks, maintain key equipment, and drive continuous improvement using KHMS and root cause analysis.

Qualifications

• Recognised mechanical trade qualification required.
• Experience in FMCG/food & beverage equipment is a plus.
• Root cause analysis and continuous improvement skills desirable.
• Proficient with CMMS and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and repair production equipment to minimise downtime.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance and inspections.
• Maintain packaging/processing equipment (fillers, conveyors, packers).
• Plan work, capture parts usage, and document actions in CMMS.
• Lead continuous improvement using KHMS and 5-Why.
