Shift Engineer- Packaging Salary: £53,994 (Inclusive of Shift Allowance)

What are we looking for?

We're seeking an Engineer for our packaging department, which produces approximately 850M pints per year, packaging some of the nation's favorite brands. We need to ensure our machinery is in top condition.

We operate two high-speed canning lines and a keg line supplying the entire UK.

Our Engineers perform preventative and corrective maintenance, support operators, and ensure safe, efficient, and timely recoveries from plant stoppages to minimize downtime and optimize performance.

Engineers are encouraged to lead improvements through TPM activities such as Kaizen, root cause analysis, and failure analysis. This role is ideal for an engineer driven to improve maintenance standards and performance, with upskilling opportunities to support future growth.

Ideal candidates will have:

• Trade qualifications (NVQ, CITB Apprenticeship, HNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering), preferably with an electrical bias
• Experience in a highly automated, safety-critical manufacturing site
• Experience with planned maintenance techniques and CMMS
• A mindset focused on continuous improvement
• Confidence and ability to work autonomously
