Job summary

White Recruitment Construction is seeking a Night Shift Maintenance Engineer for a tier-one packaging manufacturer in the United Kingdom. The role focuses on fault finding, preventative maintenance and TPM/OEE support across electrical and mechanical systems; 42 hours per week, 12-hour shifts (3 nights on, 3 days off) with a 7 to 7 pattern.

You will work with production teams to improve reliability, carry out planned maintenance, and ensure safety standards.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical engineering background.
• Recognised engineering qualification, such as City & Guilds, ONC or NVQ.
• Manufacturing or production environment experience.
• Ability to read electrical drawings.
• Working knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Electrical installation experience, 17th/18th Edition beneficial.
• Blow moulding or injection moulding experience would be advantageous.

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 DOE
Hours: 42 hours per week average

We are recruiting for a Shift Maintenance Engineer to join a tier-one packaging manufacturer within a fast-paced production environment. This is a hands-on, multi-skilled role focused on keeping machinery running efficiently, reducing downtime, and supporting continuous improvement across the site.

The successful candidate will carry out fault finding, reactive repairs, planned preventative maintenance and general site engineering work across electrical and mechanical systems. You will work closely with production and engineering teams to improve reliability, maintain safety standards and support TPM/OEE initiatives.
