Job summary

ETS Consulting Ltd in Preston is seeking an Apprentice Trained Engineer to maintain and service production equipment across corrugators, conveyors, and packaging lines. You will ensure Health & Safety compliance and complete maintenance to high standards while on site.

The role offers a broad scope to broaden skills in electrical and mechanical maintenance within a food-based packaging environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum full apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Experience with planned and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Experience on conveyors, packaging lines, and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all production equipment with focus on Health & Safety compliance.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on conveyors, drives, sensors, and print/packaging units.
• Broaden skills across corrugators, material handling, and associated machinery.

My client is one of the UKs leading manufacturers within its field of food based packaging products and associated processes . The group is a well established producer to the European markets and have been established over 30 years. The site in Preston is looking once again to expand due to further investment, within this secure organisation.

Key Skills

The Role

• Corrugators
• Material handling conveyor systems (palletisers, strappers, and wrappers)
• Box converting lines which have print units, cutting units, stacking, and folding
• PLC Faulting finding

You will have served a minimum of ideally a full apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering and have experience working within planned and preventative maintenance schedules, working on conveyors, inverters, drives, sensors, plastics or insulation machines, packaging machines, motors, print units, cutting units, stacking, and folding machines.

On a day to day basis, you will be responsible for all production equipment including compliance with Health & Safety policies are met and any maintenance activities are completed to the highest standards. There is a huge scope and variety on offer, so the successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably.
