Job summary

Macphie, based at Glenbervie in Aberdeenshire, is hiring four brand-new Lead Engineers to join the Engineering team. You will lead a shift, stay hands-on, and coordinate maintenance across mechanical and electrical systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

With relocation support available, you’ll contribute to safety, quality, and continuous improvement across the site while working within a 28-day rotating shift pattern.

Qualifications

• Formal engineering qualification, apprenticeship or time-served background in a mechanical, electrical or multiskilled discipline.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding capability.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and make decisions in a busy plant environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering activity across your shift, while remaining hands-on.
• Respond to breakdowns and diagnose faults across plant equipment.
• Provide day-to-day direction and technical support to on-shift engineers.
• Coordinate engineering work with Production and QA teams.
• Ensure planned and reactive maintenance is completed safely and on time.
• Maintain clear shift handovers and plant status communication.
