- Responsible for the H&S of the sites and engineers.
- On-site HV and LV Authorised Person when qualified and on shift.
- Proactively check the operation of the Permit to Work system in accordance with Quality, Health & Safety procedures and client requirements, especially regarding subcontractors' adherence to RAMS.
- Check the operation of the LOTO system in accordance with Quality, Health & Safety procedures and client requirements.
- Ensure subcontractors meet contractual requirements, administer work approvals, and ensure safe operations during repairs or services.
- Undertake other tasks as defined and requested by site management.
- Undertake annual appraisals of shift technicians after completing the Appraisal and Development training course.
- Ensure awareness and compliance with contractual KPIs/SLA.
- Maintain up-to-date records in the Computer Based Maintenance system (e.g., Maximo, Concept), ensuring PPM and reactive tickets are closed with accurate data.
- Work closely with the Area Contract Manager to maintain high service levels.
- Support the Contract Support in achieving high customer satisfaction.
- Ensure statutory & code compliance of sites and that engineers are equipped for daily tasks.
- Plan PPM schedules to ensure balanced workloads in conjunction with the Area Contract Manager.
- Ensure PPM is conducted according to manufacturer guidelines.
- Manage the return of PPM and related documentation, and oversee man management of day engineers and shift team members.
- Ensure sites have accurate asset registers and proper labeling.
- Procure materials and services efficiently, proactively sourcing additional work and raising quotations.
- Provide technical support to engineers, helpdesk, and clients.
- Investigate and report major operational incidents.
- Attend to callouts in coordination with the helpdesk.
- Promote H&S culture across the team.
- Assist engineers with PPM tasks and maintain regular communication with the engineering team.
- Ensure weekly tasks are completed and assist the site manager with report generation.
- Maintain customer service levels.
- Ensure uniforms are worn and in good condition; oversee third-party contract works.
- Attend statutory works for understanding and provide feedback.
- Escalate unapproved quoted works that could impact the business.
- Serve as the first point of contact for all in-hour shift issues and mechanical incident escalations.
- Produce and distribute weekly reports in collaboration with the Area Contract Manager.
- Carry out any other reasonable management requests.
