Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a motivated care professional to join our care home team in Scotland. The post holder will lead the shift, administer medication, and support and guide other care staff to meet the needs of residents.

You will undertake a key role with knowledge of Support Planning, risk assessment for older people, and a person-centred approach to care. Fixed term, part time, with enhancements for various shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in a social care setting is essential.
• SVQ3 in Social Care preferred; SVQ2 with commitment to achieve SVQ3 within 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and oversee daily care operations.
• Administer medications as required and in line with policy.
• Support and guide other care staff to meet residents' needs.
• Deliver person-centred care and promote independence.
