Job description

In our Additive Manufacturing business, we offer the widest alloy range of metal powders on the market, under the world-renowned Osprey brand as well as a Controlled Expansion (CE) Alloys product range.

We’re now looking for a Shift Mechanical Fitter to join our Engineering team.

ABOUT YOU

You will have demonstratable experienced mechanical engineering and hold an trade apprenticeship with minimum NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in engineering. The main focus of the role will be to undertake mechanical work on the site’s equipment. Training will be provided. Experience of COMPEX and to having a good level of IT literacy would be a great advantage.

This role is based at our manufacturing site in Neath and is on a 3-shift working pattern, 5 days per week, mornings, afternoons and nights.

Key responsibilities include:

  • To undertake all mechanical work as required.
  • Comply with all Standard Working Practices (SWP’s) and permits to work where appropriate.
  • Monitor the Engineering Requests (ER’s) and carry out appropriate tasks.
  • Carry out plant checks as defined.
  • When necessary, work planned shutdowns.
  • When requested be prepared to attend the work site out of normal working hours to address issues of safety, security or production equipment breakdowns.
  • Participation in the Engineering call out system.
  • Comply with the company and engineering quality procedures.
