Job summary

Weetabix is seeking a Lead Engineer to provide day-to-day engineering leadership on a manufacturing shift in the United Kingdom. You will coordinate maintenance, resolve breakdowns, and support safe, efficient operations while coaching apprentices and developing the team.

Qualifications

• Experience leading maintenance teams in a complex manufacturing environment.
• Strong technical background in mechanical, electrical and control systems.
• Proven ability to improve asset uptime and reduce downtime.
• Experience coaching apprentices and developing maintenance skills.

Responsibilities

• Deploy resources to minimise downtime and improve productivity.
• Provide hands-on technical support to resolve breakdowns.
• Produce shift reports on engineering performance and downtime trends.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement.
• Lead and mentor engineering and production colleagues on shift.
