Job summary

A manufacturing company in Newport is seeking an experienced engineer for a hands-on role. The successful candidate will support equipment efficiency, conduct planned maintenance, and respond swiftly to machinery issues within a shift-based team. Key requirements include fault-finding skills in electrics and electronics, along with a practical understanding of hydraulics and pneumonics. This position features a 4 on/4 off shift pattern and offers up to £22 per hour.

Qualifications

• Time served engineer.
• Practical understanding of PLC equipment preferred but not essential.
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist Shift Manager with equipment efficiency.
• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance.
• Monitor machinery performance and avoid downtime.

Skills
