Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our conversion plant on a 12-hour continental shift (days and nights). The role covers electrical and mechanical maintenance, breakdown support, and TPM/PPM activities to sustain production efficiency.

We value safe working practices, teamwork across engineering and production, and proactive problem solving to improve equipment reliability and plant performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in Production or Service environment (3–5 years).
• Qualified to minimum BTech Level 3 in engineering. Equivalent HNC or higher accepted.
• Experience with Electrical/Mechanical installations.
• Capable of using PLC I/O as diagnostic tool.
• Knowledge of safety and risk assessment in maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for Breakdowns, PPM and TPM.
• Identify parts and equipment required for repairs and improvements.
• Carry out electrical and mechanical installations within scope.
• Perform planned and unplanned maintenance to agreed standards.
• Execute Reactive and Preventative Maintenance to keep assets reliable.
• Ensure safe working practices and maintain stock control.
