Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in the United Kingdom is seeking a skilled Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our ongoing maintenance efforts at the conversion plant. You will support breakdowns, preventative maintenance, and TPM programs, with a focus on safe working practices and reliability.

The role requires electrical and mechanical installation capability, PLC I/O diagnostics, and at least five years in engineering within FMCG.

Qualifications

Familiar with current legislation and European Directives applicable to this role.
Five+ years of engineering experience in a production environment (FMCG preferred).
Electrical/Mechanical installation experience and diagnostics using PLC I/O.
Ability to work in a team and also use own initiative.
Minimum BTech Level 3; HNC or higher accepted.

Responsibilities

Provide engineering support for breakdowns, preventive maintenance (PPM) and TPM.
Identify parts and equipment required for repairs and improvements.
Carry out electrical and mechanical installations within scope.
Make informed breakdown solutions and manage projects.
Perform planned and unplanned maintenance to agreed standards.
Ensure site assets are maintained to a high standard and reliable.
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to meet KPIs.
