Job summary

Wagstaff Recruitment seeks an experienced Shift Engineer at their Northampton site. The role is mechanically biased and offers a 12-hour shift rota with 2 days / 2 nights / 4 off, plus 18 days off across cycles.

You will maintain production, processing and packaging machinery, fault-find electrically and mechanically, and execute PPM/TPM schedules. Strong SAP/CMMS experience and multi-skilled capabilities are essential.

Qualifications

Experience on industrial production, processing and packaging machinery.
Minimum 5 years’ experience outside of apprenticeship.
Formal apprenticeship completed preferred.
NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3+ qualification.
Willing to work rotating shift pattern with annual holidays.
Experience using SAP/CMMS systems.

Responsibilities

Maintain all production, processing and packaging machinery.
Perform electrical and mechanical fault finding and repairs.
Complete PPM and TPM schedules.
Work with motors, conveyors, PLCs, gearboxes, drives, sensors, hydraulics and pneumatics.
Lead project work for new machine installs and continuous improvement.
Order spares and maintain site CMMS.
