Shift Engineer Salary: Competitive | Full-Time | Permanent | 4 on 4 off (Days & Nights)

Are you a hands-on, multi-skilled engineer with a passion for keeping production moving?

We’re on the lookout for a Shift Engineer to join our fast-paced manufacturing site near Nottingham.

Working on a 4 on 4 off rotating shift pattern (days and nights), you’ll be the go-to engineer on shift – diagnosing, fixing, and improving a wide range of plant, machinery, and site services. From breakdowns and PPM to continuous improvement and development projects, no two days are the same!

What You’ll Do:

1. Carry out both mechanical and electrical maintenance (PPM & RM)
2. Support production with line changes and breakdown recovery
3. Tackle faults head-on and keep equipment running smoothly
4. Work safely, effectively, and independently across the site
5. Be part of site projects and development initiatives

What We’re Looking For:

1. 3+ years in a similar maintenance role
2. Multi-skilled (mechanical/electrical) – trade qualified
3. Strong problem-solving and communication skills
4. Flexible, team-focused and calm under pressure
5. Confident working solo and taking the lead on shift
