Job summary

Skanska Costain STRABAG Joint Venture in Greater London is seeking an experienced site professional to support the Sub Agent and Shift Manager in setting up and undertaking NT related works. You will ensure the works follow project requirements including health and safety, reporting any non-conformances to the section engineer or supervisor.

You will keep setting-out and quality control procedures timely to avoid construction delays and be conversant with all drawings and related information.

Qualifications

• Engineering Degree/HNC in construction or similar.
• 2+ years’ experience in the Civil Construction Industry.
• CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card.
• Survey / Setting Out experience.
• Engineering Degree/HNC in Tunnelling, Mining, Geotechnical Engineering.
• 2+ years’ experience with SCL or tunnel construction techniques.
• IOSH or SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme).
• Tunnel Safety Training Scheme (TSTS).

Responsibilities

• Support the Sub Agent and Shift Manager in setting up and undertaking the NT related works.
• Ensure works comply with project requirements including health and safety; report non-conformance to the section engineer or supervisor.
• Ensure setting-out and quality control procedures are performed in a timely and efficient manner to avoid delays.
• Be conversant with drawings, specifications and related information; ask for advice when unsure.
• Develop and maintain a good working relationship with the Client and within the team to exceed Client expectations.
• Understand the Client and Joint Venture Partners' Environment and Sustainability Policies and ensure compliance on the project.

• Understand the Client and Joint Venture Partners' Environment and Sustainability Policies, Processes and statutory requirements as they affect the company's operations and ensure that the requirements, as applicable within their discipline, are implemented on the project.

The Ideal Candidate

• Engineering Degree/Higher National Certificate (HNC) or similar in a construction discipline.
• 2+ years’ experience within the Civil Construction Industry.
• Relevant CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card.

• Engineering Degree/Higher National Certificate (HNC) or similar in Tunnelling, Mining, Geotechnical Engineering
