The Chancery Rosewood in Mayfair, London, invites applications for a Shift Engineer to ensure seamless operation of guest spaces and back-of-house systems. You will perform hands-on maintenance across electrical, mechanical, plumbing and HVAC disciplines, while upholding the hotel’s exacting standards.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests to ensure guest comfort and operations.
• Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance across guest rooms, public areas, and plant systems.
• Work across electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and general maintenance disciplines.
• Monitor fire alarm and life safety systems and respond per procedures.
• Collaborate with hotel departments to resolve engineering issues.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks, faults, and system performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste across the property.
• Uphold health & safety standards for guests, colleagues and visitors.

The Chancery Rosewood, is redefining luxury in Mayfair, housed in the former U.S. Embassy and reimagined by Sir David Chipperfield. As a Shift Engineer, you will play a vital role in maintaining the seamless operation of the hotel, ensuring every space, from guest suites to back-of-house systems, operates with precision and reliability. This is a hands-on, multi-disciplinary role that requires technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and a calm, solutions-focused mindset.

Working across a rotating shift pattern, you will be a consistent and dependable presence within the hotel, responding to maintenance needs, supporting operational efficiency, and helping create an environment where guests and colleagues can experience the property at its very best. Key Responsibilities

• Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests, ensuring guest comfort and operational continuity at all times.
• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance across guest rooms, public areas, and plant systems to maintain exceptional standards throughout the property.
• Work across multiple engineering disciplines including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance.
• Monitor and maintain fire alarm and life safety systems, responding to any incidents with confidence and in line with procedures.
• Collaborate closely with all hotel departments, ensuring effective communication and seamless resolution of engineering-related matters.
