Job summary

Mitie Group plc in Coventry is seeking a Shift Electrical Engineer to maintain and fault-diagnose across healthcare facilities, with a 42-hour week and a demanding shift pattern.

You will interpret issues, repair electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems, monitor tasks in CAFM, and comply with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing faults across engineering, electrical and/or plumbing systems.
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; IOSH Working Safely.
• Completion of a structured training programme in Electrical Engineering for a minimum of 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and make judgements across a wide range of issues, understanding pre‑planned and reactive maintenance, and emergencies.
• Diagnose and repair faults in electrical, mechanical and/or plumbing installations and equipment.
• Deliver high standards of workmanship across complex systems and understand electrical and mechanical interactions.
• Actively monitor the CAFM system to ensure tasks are assigned within timescales.
• Observe health and safety, Electricity at Work Regulations, asbestos, legionella and COSHH regulations.
