DS Smith Plc is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer at our Louth site on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern (days and nights). You will perform planned preventative maintenance, fault finding and repairs on industrial machinery, while supporting mechanical maintenance within a multi-skilled team to maximise uptime.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer DS Smith - Louth Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off (Days and Nights)
About the role DS Smith is looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our engineering team at our Louth site. This is a hands-on role where you will play a key part in maintaining the reliability, safety and efficiency of our manufacturing operation. Working on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance, electrical fault finding and repairs, as well as supporting mechanical maintenance activities across the site. Working closely with Production and Engineering colleagues, you will help minimise downtime, improve equipment performance and ensure our machinery operates safely and efficiently. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and engineering projects, helping us maintain high standards across the site.
You will have proven experience in an electrical maintenance engineering role, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment. You will have a strong electrical engineering background, with experience in fault finding, diagnostics and repairing industrial machinery. You will have the ability and willingness to support mechanical maintenance activities and work across a range of equipment. You will have a good understanding of planned preventative maintenance and the importance of equipment reliability in a manufacturing environment. You will be a proactive problem solver, able to identify faults, work under pressure and respond effectively to unplanned breakdowns. You will have a strong commitment to health and safety, with the ability to follow safe systems of work and identify potential risks. You will be a strong team player with good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the site. You will be organised, self-motivated and able to work independently, taking ownership of maintenance activities and seeing them through to completion.
