Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of metrology within quality engineering.
  • Able to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Excellent knowledge of quality systems.
  • Ability to maintain detailed quality records.
  • Applied working knowledge and use of basic metrology tools (imperial & metric).
  • Understanding manufacturing processes and tolerances.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly to colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for performing and maintaining detailed records of inspection plans, ISIRs, and FAIRs.
  • Developing measurement policies to reduce scrap in the machine shop.
  • Participate in product design reviews to promote repeatability and reliability for production.
  • Conduct capability studies / gage R&R as directed.
  • Carry out such other duties that may be reasonably requested.
