Job summary

A leading company is seeking a SHEQ Officer to ensure compliance with SHEQ policies and manage audits. The ideal candidate will have a NEBOSH qualification and experience in site audits, contributing to the organization's safety and quality standards. This role offers flexible hours, with a maximum of 12 hours per week dedicated to SHEQ responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in the construction industry preferred, but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain SHEQ policies and ensure compliance across the organization.
  • Prepare and manage annual audits (ISO9001, ISO14001, Safe T Cert).
  • Produce RAMS and project-specific H&S documentation.

Job description

VANRATH is assisting in the recruitment of a SHEQ Officer for a large organization.

Office location: Coalisland / Dungannon - Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintaining company SHEQ policies and ensuring compliance across the organization.
  2. Preparing and managing annual audits (ISO9001, ISO14001, and Safe T Cert).
  3. Producing RAMS and other project-specific H&S documentation.
  4. Managing documentation including technical submittals, O&M manuals, and drawing revisions.
  5. Weekly documentation updates; overall SHEQ project requirements are not full-time, estimated at a maximum of 12 hours per week.
  6. Managing contract documentation, including technical submittals and operation and maintenance manuals, ensuring all site documentation is current.

The Ideal Candidate:

  1. At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  2. Experience in the construction industry, preferably within civil engineering (not essential).
  3. NEBOSH qualification (essential) and IOSH membership (desirable).
  4. Strong knowledge of Integrated Management Systems (IMS) for ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 compliance.
  5. Proven ability to conduct site audits, lead investigations, and implement corrective actions.
