Job summary

New Appointments Group Ltd is seeking a proactive SHEQ Manager to strengthen quality, health & safety, environmental and compliance processes across the site. The role involves leading QMS improvements, audits, risk assessments and contractor management on a hands-on shop floor with a focus on continuous improvement.

You will drive compliance with ISO 9001, support EMS development and promote best practices across manufacturing operations while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a SHEQ, HSEQ or Compliance leadership role.
• Experience in a manufacturing, engineering or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and related quality systems.
• Solid understanding of health and safety compliance and current legislation.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Willingness to challenge poor standards constructively.
• Internal or Lead Auditor qualification is preferred.
• Experience with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 is desirable.

• Drive reductions in defects, reworks and customer returns.

The role

We are looking for a proactive, practical and confident SHEQ Manager to play a key role in improving standards across the site. You will be responsible for strengthening quality, health & safety, environmental and compliance processes, while working closely with teams across the business to drive continuous improvement.

This is a hands-on, improvement-focused role, with regular time spent on the shop floor.
