Job summary

United Infrastructure Ltd is seeking a SHEQ Manager (H&S Manager) to lead the SH&E function within our Power & Civils Distribution business, based in Kilmarnock. You will guide audits, governance, and accreditation programmes while supporting Directors and operational heads.

You will oversee a team, develop strategies, review reports, and drive continuous improvement in safety and quality across projects.

Qualifications

• Chartered membership of NEBOSH/IOSH or working towards.
• Experience in SHEQ governance, audits and reporting.
• Able to develop and implement SHEQ strategies across a business.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the SHEQ Advisors per contract with leadership and accountability.
• Maintain accreditations such as ISO, NERS, Achilles, RoSPA.
• Develop, implement and monitor SHEQ policies across the business.
• Conduct regular internal and external audits and produce KPI reports.
• Provide training and mentoring to the SHEQ team.

Job Description

Glenelly Infrastructure Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a talented SHEQ Manager (H&S Manager) to join our Power & Civils Distribution business based in Kilmarnock. This role will see you providing guidance, support, advice, and governance to the Projects/Business on all SHEQ related subjects. You will also manage all aspects of internal and external audits and governing body compliance to ensure the company is kept up to date with all SHEQ legislation and within their area of control will directly partner and support the Directors/Heads of Operations.

As SHEQ Manager you will:

• To oversee the SHEQ Advisors per contract providing Leadership, guidance and accountability for day-to-day activities
• Maintaining and driving accreditations (such as ISO standards, NERS, Achillies, RoSPA etc)
• Develop, Implement and monitor SHEQ strategies, policies and procedures across the business
• Conduct regular audits internally and externally
• Provide training, mentoring and support to the SHEQ team
• Produce reports, KPI tracking and data analysis for senior leadership

Who we’re looking for

• Chartered membership of a relevant professional body (NEBOSH/IOSH) or working towards.
• Prior experience working in the DNO and ICP environment would be advantageous
• Educated to Diploma/Degree/HNC level.
• Proven experience leading and managing a team
• Influencing and persuasion skills.
• Analytical skills with an attention to detail.
• Excellent communicator with motivational, leadership and coaching skills.
• Experience of reviewing and producing SHEQ reports to executive level
