Job summary

Tradebe UK is seeking a SHEQ Manager to advise, guide and manage all health, safety, environmental and quality issues at the Fawley site, ensuring safe operations and compliance with Tradebe policies. You will lead safety programmes, health surveillance and environmental permit compliance while driving quality controls and audits.

The role includes reporting on health, safety, environment and quality performance, training and continuous improvement across the site and related operations.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of all HSE legislation.
• Understanding of Quality, H&S, Environment Management Systems.
• Experience of COMAH, process safety, DSEAR.
• Computer literacy (MS Office).
• Highly self-motivated and proactive.
• Very strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Positive "can-do" attitude.

Responsibilities

• Oversee HazID/HazOP/LOPA/SIL and ALARP risk reduction at the Fawley site.
• Oversee COSHH, Occ Health Surveillance and other H&S control programmes; produce monthly health dashboards.
• Ensure compliance with Environmental Permits and liaise with regulators as needed.
• Oversee site quality control and report monthly on quality performance and customer complaints.
• Maintain and audit management systems; coordinate SHEQ training and drive continuous improvement.

The main purpose of the role is to advise, guide and manage the Tradebe Fawley site and functions on all aspects of health, safety, environmental and quality issues, ensuring that the site operates safely and effectively, in line with current Tradebe policies and procedures and to ensure the ongoing effectiveness and suitability of these management systems.

Duties and Responsibilities include (though are not limited to):

• Safety Both Process and Personal Safety responsibility - overseeing the Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment Programme (HazID,HazOP, LOPA, SIL etc) and the effective implementation of ALARP risk reduction procedures, in respect of tolerated event frequencies. The role holder will also be responsible for the implementaton of site-wide SHEQ Competency programmes and compliance with all relevant H&S legislation, as well as conducting after-incident investigations, implementing corrective actions where required and knowledge sharing with colleague sites across the business.
• Health The role holder will also oversee our COSHH processes, Occ Health Surveillance and monitor the other H&S relevant control programmes (noise, vibration, Legionella, asbestos etc.) They will also be responsible for the production of monthly report dashboards on Employee Health Performance and overseeing compliance with all relevant current and future H&S legislation.
• Environment Additionally, the SHEQ Manager will ensure compliance with all applicable Environmental Permits for the Fawley site, as well as any other relevant environmental legislation and, to liaise with regulators as and when relevant. They will also conduct pro-active and reactive investigations into events/incidents/complaints, ensuring the corrective/preventative actions are logged and completed.The role holder must also report on environmental performance monthly, as well as in response to significant issues or events.
• Quality The SHEQ Manager must also oversee the site quality control programme, be accountable for the progress and resolution of customer complaints and report on Quality performance on a monthly basis, as well as in response to significant issues if and when they arise.
• Management Systems The role holder will also maintain an effective and efficient management system, liaising with the relevant body in respect of site audits for renewal of permits/accreditations as well as conducting Fawleys' own internal audit programme and contributing to audits at other sites across the business.Additionally, they must also oversee the SHEQ training and competency programmes and contribute to ongoing Continuous Improvement projects across the SHEQ estate.
