Job summary

Actemium M&E, part of VINCI Energies, seeks a proactive SHEQ Officer/Manager to support panel-building businesses from the Gloucester office with travel to sites across the UK. The role offers development into broader management, working with the Head of SHEQ to drive compliance, continuous improvement and a strong safety culture.

Ideal candidates have SHEQ experience in engineering/manufacturing, ISO systems knowledge, NEBOSH General, and IOSH-related CPD.

Qualifications

SHEQ experience in engineering/manufacturing/construction or similar.
ISO 9001/14001/45001 management systems with internal auditing preferred.
NEBOSH General qualification; diploma/degree ambitions.
Active CPD at Tech IOSH with aims for Cert IOSH.
Willingness to travel to sites and occasional overnight stays.

Responsibilities

Support and maintain SHEQ management systems aligned with ISO standards.
Conduct workplace inspections, audits and compliance reviews.
Investigate incidents, near misses and non-conformities; identify root causes.
Collaborate with operations to embed SHEQ best practices across projects.
Review risk assessments, method statements, COSHH and quality documentation.
Assist with SHEQ training, inductions, toolbox talks and awareness campaigns.
Monitor corrective actions and drive continual improvement initiatives.
Analyse SHEQ data and contribute to management reporting.
Promote a positive safety culture and share lessons learned across the business.
