Job summary

Danny Sullivan Group is seeking an experienced SHEQ Advisor or SHEQ Manager for a major infrastructure project in the Peterhead area. The role suits someone capable of leading on-site safety and quality in a busy heavy civil environment.

The position offers a choice between permanent employment or long-term contract work, with the opportunity to influence SHEQ strategy and hands-on site delivery on a substantial earthworks and drainage package within a national energy infrastructure programme.

Qualifications

• Experience within construction or civil engineering environments.

Responsibilities

• Support and drive SHEQ standards across the project.
• Provide practical health, safety, environmental and quality advice to site teams.
• Conduct regular site inspections, audits and compliance checks.
• Review RAMS, permits and construction documentation.
• Liaise with Project Managers, Site Agents, Engineers and site teams.
• Identify hazards and ensure appropriate control measures are implemented.
• Support safe delivery of earthworks, groundworks and heavy civil activities.
• Monitor subcontractor SHEQ performance.
• Conduct incident and near-miss investigations.
• Produce reports and identify corrective actions.
• Deliver toolbox talks and safety initiatives.
• Support environmental compliance across site activities.
• Monitor quality processes and project procedures.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and legislation.
• Promote a positive safety culture on site.
