Job summary

Marshalls plc in Sittingbourne is seeking a Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) Compliance Leader. Lead a strong safety, quality and environmental culture on site and drive continuous improvement.

You will coordinate audits, compliance programs and supplier/customer investigations to uphold Marshalls values. Based at the Sittingbourne site, you will coach teams, analyse trends, and implement corrective actions across SHEQ disciplines while collaborating with cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• Experience in a medium or large manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of SHEQ compliance and legislation.
• Experience with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.
• Ability to manage customer complaints and non-conformances.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead and promote a strong SHEQ culture across the site.
• Ensure compliance with legal, environmental and ISO standards.
• Monitor performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Provide SHEQ guidance and training.
• Act as key contact during audits and regulatory checks.
• Track and report SHEQ KPIs and environmental metrics.
• Investigate customer complaints and implement improvements.
• Collaborate with operational teams to reduce waste and improve quality.
• Develop and embed quality standards and processes.
• Support new product trials and continuous improvement activities.
