Caval Ltd is seeking a contracted SHEQ Advisor to support a North West project. The role focuses on providing practical, site-based Safety, Health, Environment and Quality expertise. You will advise project and site teams, review RAMS, and drive compliance with UK requirements.

The position runs 1–2 days per week for an initial 6-month period, with potential extensions. SZC security vetting is a prerequisite for candidates.

Qualifikationen

• Proven experience in a SHEQ Advisor role or similar.
• Experience within construction, engineering or another high-risk environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Understanding of quality management and assurance processes.

SHEQ Advisor - Contract

North West | £500-£550 per day | 1-2 days per week | 6-month contract

We are currently looking for an experienced SHEQ Advisor to support an established project team in the North West on a contract basis.

This is an opportunity for a practical, site-focused SHEQ professional to provide advice, assurance and support across Safety, Health, Environment and Quality within a live project environment.

The Opportunity

• Role: SHEQ Advisor
• Location: North West
• Contract: Initially 6 months, with potential to extend
• Working pattern: 1-2 days per week
• Rate: £500-£550 per day
• Level: SHEQ Advisor
• Vetting: Candidates must be able to successfully complete SZC security vetting

Key Responsibilities

As SHEQ Advisor, you will provide competent advice and support to the project and site teams, helping to maintain high standards across safety, health, environment and quality.

Responsibilities will include:

• Supporting incident investigations and corrective actions

• Reviewing RAMS and safe systems of work
• Promoting a positive SHEQ culture across the project
• Producing and reviewing SHEQ documentation and reports
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
• Working closely with operational and management teams to maintain high SHEQ standards

About You

We are looking for an experienced SHEQ professional with:

• Proven experience in a SHEQ Advisor role or similar
• Experience within construction, engineering or another high-risk environment
• Strong knowledge of UK health, safety and environmental requirements
• An understanding of quality management and assurance processes
• A practical, site-focused approach
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills
• The ability to work independently and provide credible SHEQ advice
• Relevant SHEQ qualifications, such as NEBOSH, IOSH or equivalent
• The ability to successfully obtain SZC security clearance/vetting
