Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship in sheet metal work or closely related discipline.
• Previous experience within aerospace manufacturing is preferred.
• Strong, practical understanding of sheet metal forming processes and techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• High attention to detail with focus on quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out stretch forming of aircraft sheet metal components to exact specifications.
• Marking out, cutting, and forming materials accurately in line with engineering requirements.
• Working confidently from engineering drawings, templates, and detailed work instructions.
• Using a range of hand tools and mechanical aids, including presses and forming equipment.
• Ensuring all completed work meets strict quality and safety standards.
• Maintaining a clean, compliant, and well-controlled working environment at all times.
