Job summary

Morson Edge is currently seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Worker to join their team in Burnley. This role is based in an established aerospace manufacturing site with ongoing opportunities.

You will produce high-quality aircraft components using stretch forming and related fabrication techniques within a professional and well-structured environment. The position requires a time-served apprenticeship in Sheet Metal Work, with prior aerospace experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship in Sheet Metal Work.
• Previous experience within aerospace manufacturing is preferred.
• Strong, practical understanding of sheet metal forming processes and techniques.
• Ability to accurately interpret and work from engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• High attention to detail, with a focus on producing consistent, high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out stretch forming of aircraft sheet metal components to exact specifications.
• Marking out, cutting, and forming materials accurately in line with engineering requirements.
• Working confidently from engineering drawings, templates, and detailed work instructions.
• Using a range of hand tools and mechanical aids, including presses and forming equipment.
• Ensuring all completed work consistently meets strict quality and safety standards.
• Maintaining a clean, compliant, and well-controlled working environment at all times.
