Job summary

Our Ferndown-based client is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Worker to join their busy shop on a permanent basis. You will program, set up, operate and maintain a CNC press brake, fabricate, assemble and repair sheet metal components to produce high-quality parts.

A strong understanding of drawings, sheet metal processes and quality control is essential. Previous experience with Bystronic machines and Bysoft software is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Proficient in programming, setting up, operating and maintaining a CNC press brake.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and follow quality standards.
• Experience with sheet metal fabrication and inspection processes.

Our client based in Ferndown has an immediate requirement for an experienced Sheet Metal Worker to join their busy sheet metal shop on a permanent basis.

You will be responsible for programming, setting up, operating and maintaining a CNC Press Brake machine, fabricating, assembling, and repairing sheet metal products to produce high-quality components. The role requires a strong understanding of engineering drawings, sheet metal processes, and quality control standards.

Previous sheet metal work experience is key, specifically knowledge of programming, setting and operating brake press machinery. Previous experience of operating Bystronic machines and knowledge of Bysoft programming software would be a distinct advantage.

This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, hours of work are 07:30 am till 16:45 pm and Friday 07:30 am till 12:30 pm. There is a starting salary of £30,420 per annum on offer, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
