Job summary

DAB Technical Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Sheet Metal Worker to join our team in Croydon. You will read technical drawings and collaborate with the estimating team to deliver optimal solutions for customer requirements.

Candidates should have proven experience in fine limit sheet metal work, be proficient with hand tools and equipment (guillotine, CNC & manual brake press, TIG/MIG welding, grinding, finishing) and have CAD knowledge desirable.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to read technical drawings.
• Experience in fine limit and general sheet metal work.
• Proficient with sheet metal hand tools and equipment listed.
• CAD knowledge is desirable but not essential.
• Capable of working with metal up to 6mm.

Responsibilities

• Read technical drawings to produce precise parts.
• Carry out fine limit and general sheet metal work.
• Operate guillotine, CNC & manual brake press, TIG/MIG welding, grinding and finishing to high standard.
• Assist with CAD tasks if required.
• Work with various metals up to 6mm thickness.
• Maintain high quality and attention to detail.
• Be punctual, organized and a strong team member.
• Demonstrate problem solving and initiative to improve processes.

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sheet Metal worker. The successful candidate will be expected to work with customers and our estimating team to produce the best possible solution to their requirement.

Responsibilities

• MUST have the ability to read technical drawings
• MUST have experience in fine limit & general sheet metal work
• MUST have experience of all aspects of sheet metal working hand tools and equipment. i.e. guillotine, CNC & manual brake press, tig and mig welding, grinding and finishing to high standard
• CAD knowledge would be desirable but not essential
• Ability to work with all types of metal up to 6mm
• Have a proven track record as a fine limit sheet metal worker/ fabricator
• Must have attention to detail
• Be able to finish a product to a very high standard
• Be punctual and a good timekeeper
• Be confident, organised and methodical
• Be enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to motivate others
• Work well as a team member
• Be able to problem solve and come up with solutions

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 Per Annum (depending on age and experience)

40 Hours Per Week = 8am-5pm Monday to Friday
