Job summary

Orion Electrotech Ltd in Wolverhampton is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Worker to join a rapidly expanding manufacturing business serving military and commercial sectors. The role offers a strong order book, long-term stability, and opportunities for career development.

You will assemble light and non-light alloy parts, prepare welds, and fabricate to engineering drawings in a fast-paced environment, using hand tools and equipment to achieve high-quality sheet metal components.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Sheet Metal Worker, Fabricator, or similar manufacturing role.
• Experience using belt sanders, linishing tools, and associated fabrication equipment.
• Strong hand fabrication and assembly skills.
• Ability to bend, form, and shape sheet metal accurately.
• Experience working with thin gauge metals.
• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Fabrication & Welding preferred.
• Background in aerospace/defence/precision engineering environments advantageous.

Responsibilities

Pay Rates

• Day Shift: £21.93 per hour PAYE
• Rotational Shift: Up to £25.22 per hour PAYE (No Nights)
• Overtime: Available at enhanced rates
• Umbrella Rates Available: Up to £33.00 per hour
• Competitive PAYE and Umbrella payment options available
