Job summary

TipTopJob is recruiting a Sheet Metal Worker in Preston to join a three-person workshop within the R&D team. You will manufacture and modify bespoke tooling, driving the cradle-to-grave process from design concept to samples and final verification.

You must have experience making complex sheet metal products, welding and forming skills, and the ability to interpret detailed drawings. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience making complex sheet metal products/tooling.
• Welding and sheet metal forming skills.
• Able to interpret and build from detailed drawings.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Cradle to Grave: manufacture the tooling and use it to produce samples.
• Prototypes and tooling development for new concepts.
• Input to design reviews and feedback in R&D.
• Product verification and testing.
• Work in a three-person workshop team within the R&D department.
