Job summary

TipTopJob in Preston is seeking an R&D Technician to transform new product concepts into prototypes and tooling. Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm and 4.30pm Finish Friday

R and D Technician required for a reputable and leading manufacturer operating in over 60 countries.

for the R and D Technician role, applicants need sheet metal skills and need to be able to develop complex shapes/tools. You also need to be able to investigate, problem solve and work well in a team to ensure a successful outcome is achieved.

Working in a three:person workshop team within the wider R and D department, you will be responsible for making bespoke tooling and will oversee the process from cradle to grave, including manufacture, modification, and providing feedback in design reviews. This is a hands:on problem:solving role working in an experienced team where you will add value and help shape R and D towards smarter, more tool:friendly designs.
