Job summary

Wabtec Corporation is seeking a hands-on Sheet Metal Operative to join the department on a 38-hour week shift from 14:00 to 22:00, Monday to Friday, in the Northampton area. You will break out punched steel parts, inspect quality before and after processes, and palletise with pump/stacker trucks.

The role requires practical capability, reading drawings when needed, and a flexible, team-focused attitude. Training will be provided for other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Reading drawings required or beneficial.
• Team player with a positive can-do attitude.
• Practical, hands-on worker with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Break out punched parts of steel using appropriate equipment.
• Check quality of parts before and after process.
• Palletise/move product using pump/stacker trucks.
• May be asked to perform other duties with training provided.
