Qualifications

• Previous experience in sheet metal finishing, fettling, deburring, polishing or a similar manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out bench fettling, deburring and finishing of precision thin gauge sheet metal components.
• Dress and blend welds to customer and engineering specifications.
• Polish metal components to the required surface finish.
• Set and fit finished parts to castings and/or gauges using metalwork techniques.
• Safely operate handheld pneumatic tools, belt linishing equipment and other bench finishing tools.
• Use measuring equipment to inspect and verify components against engineering drawings and specifications.
• Follow SOPs, SWIs and engineering documentation to produce conforming parts with a zero-scrap mindset.
• Work accurately to tight tolerances on thin gauge materials.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and comply with Health, Safety and Environmental requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement activities and support a culture of quality and operational excellence.
