Job summary

ATA Recruitment is seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Worker in Huddersfield. The role includes supporting fabrication operations, manufacturing components, and ensuring quality standards are met. The position offers a salary range of £30,517 – £41,820 depending on experience and is a full-time role with a 38.75 hour work week. Overtime is paid after 38.75 hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
• Ability to read and work from technical engineering drawings.
• Experience with welding and fabrication processes.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong planning and workload management skills.
• Awareness of health and safety in a workshop environment.

Responsibilities

• Support daily fabrication operations within the production team.
• Manufacture and finish components to company specifications and quality standards.
• Read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings.
• Work with steel and fabricated components in line with production requirements.
• Prioritise workload in line with project plans and deadlines.
• Ensure work is completed within cost and time targets.
• Assist with maintenance of equipment when required.
• Support quality assurance procedures and company standards.

Skills

Experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
