City College Norwich seeks a Farm and Estate Technician to lead the college's 150-ewe flock on a 162ha estate. You will care for the flock daily, manage lambing, grazing and forage planning, and run practical demonstrations for students.

The role sits within a regenerative, conservation-focused system with cross-unit collaboration. Essential experience in sheep husbandry, a full UK driving licence and an enhanced DBS check.

Formación

• Proven sheep husbandry experience including lambing and livestock health management.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• DBS check (Enhanced) required.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee day-to-day flock management for the college herd.
• Daily checks, feeding routines, bedding and welfare.
• Manage breeding cycles and lambing.
• Administer basic treatments and vaccinations.
• Demonstrate livestock husbandry and machinery skills to small groups of students.
• Safely operate tractors and telehandlers for feeding, bedding and field work.
• Plan grazing and forage requirements.
• Maintain electronic records and meet assurance/government requirements.
• Collaborate with other estate technicians on seasonal tasks.
• Maintain high standards of animal welfare and farm presentation.
