Job summary

Gregory Walker Associates in North Dorset seeks an experienced Safety, Health & Environment Manager to lead the site SHE strategy and promote a proactive health and safety culture.

You will drive NEBOSH/IOSH aligned plans, manage environmental compliance, audit programs and deliver engaging training, with a salary around £60,000 plus bonus and benefits. This role requires leadership in a manufacturing environment and a track record of sustainability initiatives towards 2030.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma or related degree in health and safety.
• Environmental qualification and systems management experience.
• Experience delivering sustainability and safety programmes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the site SHE strategy in line with CPC Group standards.
• Drive safety leadership and continuous improvement using Plan-Do-Check-Act methods.
• Manage environmental compliance, including hazardous waste monitoring.
• Conduct health, safety and environmental audits to ensure compliance.
• Deliver engaging SHE training programmes and emergency procedures.

The Role

The successful SHE Manager will:

• Lead and develop the site SHE strategy in line with business objectives and CPC Group standards
• Drive safety leadership and continuous improvement using NEBOSH/IOSH Plan-Do-Check-Act principles
• Manage environmental compliance, including hazardous waste, pollutant monitoring and sustainability initiatives
• Conduct regular health, safety and environmental audits to ensure legal compliance and best practice
• Deliver engaging SHE training programmes, including emergency procedures and workplace safety

The Candidate

The successful SHE Manager will have:

• NEBOSH Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health Safety, Environmental Science or related discipline
• Proven experience in a SHE leadership role within manufacturing or food production
• Environmental qualification - IEMA/ISEP, NEBOSH, ISO14001/OHSAS18001 systems management experience.
• Producing, communicating, and delivering a sustainability programme to realise the site ambition for 2030
