Job summary

360 Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) leader for a manufacturing site in the UK. You will drive compliance, foster a positive safety culture and support continuous environmental improvement.

You will develop policies, lead risk assessments, audits and training, monitor KPIs and coordinate with regulators, ensuring ISO 45001/14001 systems are embedded and capital projects are assessed for SHE risk.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent health & safety qualification.
• Membership of IOSH (Chartered status desirable).
• Proven SHE management experience within food manufacturing, FMCG or a similar regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety and Environmental legislation.
• Experience of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
• Excellent communication, influencing and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all SHE activities across the site ensuring legal compliance.
• Develop, implement and maintain SHE policies, procedures and management systems.
• Lead site risk assessments, audits, inspections and incident investigations.
• Drive behavioural safety initiatives and promote a proactive safety culture.
• Deliver SHE training and coaching to managers and employees.
• Monitor SHE KPIs and report performance to site leadership.
• Manage environmental compliance, including waste, energy, emissions and sustainability initiatives.
• Liaise with external regulatory bodies, auditors and customers as required.
• Support capital projects and operational changes by ensuring SHE risks are identified and controlled.
• Lead emergency preparedness and business continuity planning.
