Location: Barrow-in-Furness. This role is fully onsite.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Ensuring timely and consistent advice, support, coaching, and governance of SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) standards and legislation to support all activities across the organization.
  • Supporting the development and embedding of a robust and compliant SHE management system within the Submarines business and supporting the SHE improvement program.
  • Leading and delivering key risk reduction and improvement projects/activities.
  • Maintaining professional and accountable interfaces with all stakeholders.
  • Ensuring the delivery of the Safety, Health, and Environment Operations Plan and Strategy across all Submarine sites as scheduled.
  • Providing support and governance for investigations, ensuring comprehensive reports with root cause analysis.
Your skills and experiences:
  • Knowledge of SHE management systems, including continuous improvement and risk management.
  • Proven experience in fostering a positive SHE culture.
  • Experience in assurance and governance over investigation processes, stakeholder interactions, report writing, and investigative skills.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
  • Experience in conducting investigations.
  • Experience working in a regulated or heavily regulated environment.
  • Previous experience using business reporting systems.

We offer relocation support across all Submarine roles, subject to eligibility.
