Job summary

SC Johnson Professional Europe is seeking a Senior Analyst, SHE for a 6‑month fixed-term contract at Denby Derbyshire / Little Eaton. You will deploy SHE practices on site, work with managers and shop-floor teams, and drive a proactive safety culture aligned with local and global standards.

You will engage with colleagues to identify, assess, and control health, safety and environmental risks, enabling ownership and accountability across levels of the site.

Qualifications

  • Attention to UK HSE regulations including COSHH, Machinery Safety, Fire Safety, Work at Height.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain SHE compliance assurance processes (self-assessments, calendars) to meet legal, permit, and company requirements.
  • Support shop-floor implementation of safety, health, and environmental standards.
  • Facilitate employee-led SHE initiatives and teams to promote safety and sustainability culture.
  • Analyse SHE audit data to identify risks and prevent incidents.
  • Close corrective/preventive actions with stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Provide risk assessments and industrial hygiene support for compliance.
  • Lead incident investigations and address root causes.
  • Support SHE training processes from design to completion.

About the Role

We are looking for a SHE Advisor to support the deployment of SC Johnson’s Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) management practices at site level. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with local legal requirements and SC Johnson global standards, while fostering a strong, proactive safety culture across the site.

You will work closely with Managers, Engineers, supervisors, and shop‑floor teams to identify, assess, and control health & safety risks and environmental impacts. Beyond technical expertise, success in this role will depend on your ability to engage, influence, and develop SHE champions, driving ownership and accountability at all levels.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain SHE compliance assurance processes (e.g. self‑assessments, compliance calendars) to ensure adherence to legal, permit, and company requirements.
  • Support managers and supervisors with effective shop‑floor implementation of safety, health, and environmental standards.
  • Facilitate and support employee‑led SHE initiatives and teams, promoting a strong safety and sustainability culture.
  • Analyse SHE audit data (including GEMBA and behavioural observations) to proactively identify risks and prevent incidents.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure timely closure of corrective and preventative actions.
  • Provide technical expertise including risk assessments and industrial hygiene support to maintain compliance.
  • Lead and support incident investigations, ensuring root causes are identified and addressed effectively.
  • Support SHE training processes to ensure required training is defined, delivered, and tracked to completion.
Experience You’ll Bring
  • NEBOSH Certificate Level 3 (minimum)
  • Thorough knowledge of UK HSE regulations and relevant safety and environmental standards, including COSHH, Machinery Safety, Fire Safety and Work at Height requirements.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment and supporting SHE compliance activities.
