Job summary

SC Johnson Professional is seeking a SHE Advisor on a 6‑month fixed term contract based at Denby (Derbyshire). You will deploy and uphold the company’s Safety, Health and Environmental practices, working with site management, engineers and shop-floor teams to identify and control risks.

The role requires a NEBOSH Certificate Level 3 and strong knowledge of UK HSE regulations. You will drive incident investigations, audits and training to ensure compliance and foster a proactive safety culture

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Certificate Level 3 (minimum).
• Thorough knowledge of UK HSE regulations and relevant safety and environmental standards (COSHH, Machinery Safety, Fire Safety, Work at Height).
• Experience in a manufacturing environment supporting SHE compliance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain SHE compliance assurance processes (self-assessments, calendars) to meet legal, permit and company requirements.
• Support managers and supervisors with shop-floor implementation of safety, health and environmental standards.
• Facilitate employee-led SHE initiatives and promote a safety and sustainability culture.
• Analyse SHE audit data to identify risks and prevent incidents.
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure timely closure of corrective/preventative actions.
• Provide technical expertise including risk assessments and industrial hygiene to maintain compliance.
• Lead and support incident investigations, addressing root causes.
• Support SHE training processes to define, deliver and track training to completion.

This role is critical in ensuring compliance with local legal requirements and SC Johnson global standards, while fostering a strong, proactive safety culture across the site.You will work closely with Managers, Engineers, supervisors, and shop-floor teams to identify, assess, and control health & safety risks and environmental impacts.
