Job summary

Experis is recruiting a SharePoint SME in Manchester for a 6-month contract. You will lead upgrades from SharePoint 2019 to Subscription Edition and manage SharePoint Online within Microsoft 365, ensuring performance, security, and reliability.

You will work with cross-functional teams to optimise environments and act as a 3rd line escalation point for complex SharePoint issues. Experience with Copilot/AI features is desirable.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to support SharePoint Online within M365.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for complex SharePoint issues.

We are currently working with a client who are looking for a skilled SharePoint SME for an initial 6-month contract based in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to work on critical SharePoint projects, supporting both on-premises and Microsoft 365 platforms. The role requires hands‑on technical skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to resolve complex SharePoint issues.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead upgrades from SharePoint 2019 to Subscription Edition (SE)
• Manage and support SharePoint Online (Microsoft 365)
• Ensure platform performance, security, and reliability
• Collaborate with teams to optimise SharePoint environments and implement enhancements
• Act as a 3rd line escalation point for complex SharePoint issues

What you’ll bring

• Strong expertise in SharePoint Server 2019 & Subscription Edition
• Experience supporting and managing SharePoint Online (M365)
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex SharePoint issues
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools such as OneDrive, Teams, and Exchange Online (desirable)
• Familiarity with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) (desirable)
• Exposure to Microsoft Copilot / AI capabilities (desirable)
• Certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert (MS-102), Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204), Power Platform Developer (PL-400), or Azure AI Fundamentals (AI-900) are preferred
