Job summary

Pearson Whiffin Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced SharePoint Administrator to own SharePoint Online across a Microsoft 365 tenant. This hands-on role focuses on architecture, permissions, governance and lifecycle management of a large SharePoint estate.

You will work across hub, departmental and Teams-connected sites, supporting content protection, accessibility and ongoing development, with exposure to Purview, automation and migration tools.

Qualifications

• SharePoint Online tenant administration at scale, including hub architecture and storage governance.
• Knowledge of the SharePoint permission model, including inheritance, permission levels, sharing links, guest access and Entra ID integration.
• Microsoft Purview for information protection, retention, DLP, auditing and content search across SharePoint/OneDrive.
• OneDrive for Business administration, including Known Folder Move, sync policies and storage management.
• Advanced PowerShell: SharePoint Online Management Shell, PnP PowerShell and Graph PowerShell.
• Managed metadata, Term Store and content type administration.
• SharePoint search configuration, tuning and troubleshooting.
• Diagnosing sharing, access, synchronisation, indexing and permissions issues.
• SharePoint Online migration tooling and file-share migrations.
• Producing clear technical documentation for both technical teams and business owners.

Responsibilities

• Own SharePoint architecture, provisioning and lifecycle.
• Manage permissions, access controls and information protection across the estate.
• Ensure governance, security and compliance for SharePoint sites and data.
• Provide technical guidance and collaborate with IT teams and business owners.
